Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Civil Contractor to manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and site managers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role is crucial to maintaining project efficiency, client satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee procurement and allocation of materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor all phases of construction to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Direct on-site personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and resolving conflicts.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including project reports, schedules, and contracts.
  • Cost Management: Analyze project expenses to avoid cost overruns and suggest cost-saving measures.
  • Health & Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Proven experience as a Civil Contractor or in a similar role.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills for team management.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera).
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant construction or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA, or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
    • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, when required.
